Sue Dopson is The Rhodes Trust Professor of Organisational Behaviour and a Fellow of Green Templeton College. She teaches on a range of the University’s degrees in Management Studies. She is a tutor for postgraduates of the College, and is a faculty member of the Oxford Saïd Business School for which she is currently Dean of Research Degrees.
Sue has had wide involvement in executive education, acting as a tutor and teacher on the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme, Oxford Advanced Management Programme, ‘Consulting and Coaching for Change’, and a range of customer driven programmes. She specialises in change and leadership issues, and has undertaken international consultancy assignments. Sue is Visiting Professor of the Universities of Leipzig, Alberta Canada, and the Amos Tuck School, Dartmouth College, USA.
Her research involvements lie principally in the area of health care studies, being a founding director of the Oxford Health Care Management Institute (OHCMI). She is involved in the development of courses for the NHS, and has led a number of research projects, latterly studying complexities of achieving evidence-based change amongst clinicians, assessing how developments in genetic science will influence clinical practice and health care policy, and considering workforce issues in health care services. She has published several books and over 70 articles on developments in public sector management, leadership in health services, and innovation and change.
Before pursuing a research and academic career, Sue Dopson worked as a personnel manager in the NHS.
