Scholarships & awards

For more information about specific GTC scholarships, please see the links on the left-hand side or below.

The application process for GTC scholarships is separate from your University application. You do not need to apply for these scholarships at the same time as you submit your University application (unless they are linked to a University scholarship such as Clarendon awards), but please be aware that closing dates for our scholarships vary.

If you wish to apply for the major University scholarships, you should note that the majority of these require your application to be submitted by the January deadline. Some of GTC's scholarships also have this requirement.

If you are making a late application to the University, it is likely that we will have already awarded our main scholarships for that year of entry.

How to apply for GTC scholarships

The application material may be sent by e-mail (preferable) or by post.

If sending by e-mail, please send all requested material as one continuous attachment (references may be sent separately if required).

Remember to put your name in the body of the attachment, preferably at the top of the first page.

Unless otherwise specified, applications for scholarships should be posted to:
April Robson
Academic Registrar
Green Templeton College
Woodstock Road
Oxford
OX2 6HG
United Kingdom
or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to arrive by 5pm on the deadline date specified. References should also arrive by the deadline date specified.

Please note: GTC expects that applicants will make every effort to obtain funding from external sources. If successful scholarship applicants receive funding from another source, the College reserves the right to reduce the value of its scholarship accordingly. Those awarded scholarships are expected to keep the College fully informed about other applications, and direct enquiries may be made about external awards.
