Barclay Scholarship

Value: £5000 for one year
Restrictions: Students from the United Kingdom, beginning a graduate degree programme in October 2012.
Thanks to the generosity of Stephen Barclay and the Barclay Trust, GTC is pleased to be able to offer this scholarship for a graduate student from the United Kingdom, for study in academic year 2012/13. The award is particularly intended to provide support for a student with limited financial resources.
Applicants must:
- on the closing date, hold an offer at GTC for a graduate degree programme (ie. not the undergraduate BM BCh) to begin in October 2012
- be classified by the University as having 'Home' fee status (which indicates UK residency of at least three years before the start of the programme of study).
Applicants may be from any subject area accepted by GTC (please use the College Search Tool to check whether GTC accepts students on your chosen programme of study).
Candidates for the scholarship should submit a CV, and a personal statement of no more than 1000 words addressing the following points:
- Academic excellence
- Potential contribution to college life
- Financial need.
Selection for the scholarship will be based on these three criteria. You should include details of any financial support currently received from the college, university or other funding body.
