GTC-SBS DPhil Scholarship
I am in the fourth year of the DPhil in Management Research at the Said Business School. Before coming to GTC I completed a MPhil in Geography at Brasenose College. My current research is on 3D printing materials in open source production.
"The exploration of my research topic would not have been possible without the help of GTC. I attended academic and industry conferences and events that greatly helped narrow in on my research question, and made me familiar with a rapidly evolving technology area."
While at GTC I have been most active in the GTC Squash Club. Over the time I have been here, I have been women’s captain, president, and am currently treasurer for the club. The squash club is a fantastic part of GTC college life, and I have enjoyed being part of the community both on and off court.
I have also presented at last year’s Human Welfare Conference on the topic of Innovation and Development. I discussed how 3D printing is being used as a tool for development, giving people access to digital manufacturing capabilities. The support of GTC financially and as a center of community continues to enrich my research and overall student experience.
