When you invest in us, you invest in the world
Green Templeton College is an exhilarating place to be. It is home to some of the world’s future leaders and entrepreneurs, from CEO’s to doctors, educators to policy makers, and scientists to international aid directors.
The Annual Fund supports our Green Templeton students and fellows, as they learn, pursue research and develop new ideas that will help address 21st century challenges. It provides for scholarships, academic initiatives, sport, leadership training and world-class facilities. There has never been a better time to invest in the people who will help shape our world.
Regular amounts, however modest, are the backbone of College fundraising. Money raised each year is a vital and reliable source of revenue, which funds essential projects benefitting current students on an annual basis. Recent funding has been used to support scholarships, to pay for sporting activities and equipment; to finance student-led academic initiatives such as the Human Welfare Conference and a Criminology Forum; and to support extra-curricular activities such as music and the cultivation of vegetable allotments behind some of our student accommodation. In addition, the Annual and Nautilus Fund is supporting quantitative methods of statistics tutorials for our students, and providing a pot of money to subsidise conference and fieldwork trip costs.
The Annual Fund was set up in 2009 and has attracted regular support from a significant number of alumni and members of the College. This Fund has started to make a real difference to the experiences our current students have whilst they are studying here. Approximately £170,000 has so far been dispersed on projects put forward by students and members of the College, but the more we raise, the more projects we can support.
