Green Templeton College | Oxford

Places at degree ceremonies must be booked in advance, as follows:

Current Students

  • Taught course students (including medics) will be contacted by the University's Degree Conferrals Office in December of their final year, inviting them to book a place at a ceremony. Such students will have priority booking until January
  • Research students will be contacted by the Degree Conferrals Office after they are granted Leave to Supplicate

Current students should book through the eVision system following the instructions sent to them by the Degree Conferrals Office preceding the expected completion of their programme (or following leave to supplicate for research students).

Former Students

  • Former students who have not yet graduated (Historic Graduands), or those who incorporated a BA degree from Cambridge or Trinity College Dublin and wish to have the Oxford MA conferred, can request to be placed on a holding list for a ceremony. The Degree Conferrals Office will add any students on a holding lists to fill available spaces once the January deadline for taught course students has passed, and providing there is sufficient space reserved for research students. An automatic email confirmation will be sent when a graduand receives a firm place on a ceremony.

Former students may ask to be added to the waiting list for a graduation ceremony by emailing

You are advised not to make travel plans until you have received confirmation of your place. If you wish to graduate in absentia, please select 'in absence' from the preferred date menu, and you will be added to the list for the next ceremony.
