GTC is building on a legacy of important and successful public lectures and seminars organised by its previous constituent colleges. There will be themed series of lectures and one-off events, usually open to the rest of the University and in some cases to the wider public.

Human Welfare Conference 2013
Well defined? Interdisciplinary understandings of human welfare is the theme of the sixth annual GTC Human Welfare Conference, which brings together leading student-scholars from Britain and Europe to debate important welfare issues that have real-world ramifications. The Conference takes place at GTC on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 May.

The Cochrane Lecture 2013
Professor Ian Roberts, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine will present Trials in Emergency Care on Thursday 9 May. More information.
Ann McPherson Memorial Lecture 2013
The second lecture and reception to remember the late Dr Ann McPherson, former GTC Fellow and the driving force behind the Oxford Health Experiences Institute (HEXI), described in her own words as a place "where the world of academia meets real life", takes place on Tuesday 21 May.
