Meals
Dining is an important part of the College culture in Oxford. Green Templeton's dining hall can be found on the ground floor of the Observatory. There is no High Table, so Fellows, students, staff, and other Common Room members all dine together as equals.
Lunch
A buffet lunch is available in the Observatory Dining Hall between 12.30pm and 1.45pm on weekdays. All students and Fellows must book by 11am on the same day by contacting the Lodge.
NEW! Informal supper
Tuesdays
Following requests from students, GTC holds an informal student supper on Tuesday evenings. The suppers will be similar in format to lunch; they must be booked at the Lodge by 11am on the previous day and paid for at the till. Supper will be served between 6 and 7pm.
Dinner
Wednesdays and Thursdays
Dinner is served at 7.30 for 8pm on Wednesdays during University term (check term dates) and on Thursdays every week except for short closed periods at Christmas, Easter and in August.
All College members may book for dinner, and may have a maximum of 3 guests each. On Governing Body nights, this is restricted to Fellows and students and a maximum of 1 guest each. Fellows normally wear gowns; other members may do so if they wish.

Please note that, because of the restricted number of places available at each dinner, members who try to make multiple advance dinner bookings (for example, booking for every week of a term) may be placed on a waiting list for some dinners. This is to ensure fair access to all members.
College members must now remember to select wine when booking a meal with the online booking system to have wine with the meal. Failure to attend the dinner without cancelling will result in a charge (including any guests).
Fridays
The GCR arranges Black Tie dinners for students on Fridays four times per term. Contact the GCR Entz team for information about dates.
Private dinners
The main dining hall and the William Gibson Room (seating a maximum of 14) may be booked for private dinner parties when not in use for College functions, by arrangement with the Events & Activities Manager.
