Green Templeton Squash Club (GTSC) is a dynamic and exciting part of College life.
The College maintains a newly-refurbished squash court on-site, allowing easy access for players all year round, rain or shine. The competitive inter-collegiate league runs in Michaelmas and Hilary terms, with five matches per term. College members play socially during Trinity term and academic breaks.
Green Templeton has rapidly built a strong University-wide reputation for squash. We compete with both Men's and Women's first and second teams in the inter-collegiate league.
Our Men's and Women's first teams are perfect for experienced squash players, consistently placing at the top of the college league tables. In 2013-14 the Women's first team won their third Cuppers title in 4 years in a closely contended final against Hertford college.
There are many opportunities for beginners and newcomers to play squash in the Club. A College ladder offers you the chance to schedule friendly and competitive matches with fellow College members, and our Men's and Women's second team offer new players the chance to improve quickly and become competitive at a University level.
We offer coaching on a weekly basis for experienced players and improvers who are interested in advancing their technique and playing with other team members.
On the social side, the Club organises playful events for its members throughout the term, including pub nights, potluck dinners, visits to local professional squash tournaments, and group matches against other colleges.
This year the Club again organised a social squash Trinity Tournament for students and fellows of Green Templeton with a BBQ celebration at the finals match.
