Photographer Joanna Vestey has spent the past year recording lectures at the University of Oxford and transforming these audio recordings into static spatial patterns in a collection titled 'Lecture Series'. One of these lectures, The Hippocratic Paradox: When is Resuscitating a Patient Doing Them Harm? by Dr Elizabeth Dzeng, took place at Green Templeton College last summer.

'Lecture Series explores [the] notion of transformation, converting sounds into sights... using a hybrid of technologies,' Vestey explains. 'The digital audio files have been made visible through a monitor and subsequently photographed, using a long exposure on a 10x8 film camera.'

You can view the entire collection and read more about Vestey's methods and inspiration here.
