Tim Hoff, Ph.D. Professor of Management, Healthcare Systems, and Health Policy, Patrick and Helen Walsh Research Professor, Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, and Visiting Associate Fellow, Green-Templeton College
This methods workshop, offered by Professor Timothy Hoff, will identify key best practices and challenges involved in doing qualitative research, as well as offering insights into the when and why of employing such methods in studies. Practical guidance from Dr. Hoff’s award-winning qualitative work will be provided related to designing and implementing qualitative studies, including which types of data collection methods to employ; how best to approach the analysis of qualitative data; and how to write up findings in publishable formats. Time will be reserved for discussion and dialogue. Anyone with a current or future interest in doing qualitative research will find this workshop of interest.
Anyone linked to the College is welcome to join - the workshop may be especially useful for Masters and DPhil students in the social sciences and in areas such as primary health and global health.
No formal pre-registration required, but if interested in attending please drop a quick line to email@example.com.
