Professor Garrett M. Morris is a Research Fellow of Green Templeton College. He is Associate Professor of Systems Approaches to Biomedicine in the Department of Statistics; Co-Director of the EPSRC & MRC Systems Approaches to Biomedical Science (SABS) Centre for Doctoral Training, and also of the EPSRC & MRC Sustainable Approaches to Biomedical Science: Responsible and Reproducible Research (SABS R³) Centre for Doctoral Training, at the University of Oxford.

His research focuses on applied statistics, in particular applications of machine learning and AI in cheminformatics and bioinformatics. He collaborates with scientists at Oxford, internationally, and in the pharmaceutical industry, on problems related to computer-aided drug discovery. He is also the Secretary of the Molecular Graphics and Modelling Society; on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Molecular Recognition; co-founder of Comp Chem Kitchen; and Chair of the Advanced Research Computing Advisory Board at Oxford. He is a member of SiSTEMM, and the EDI Champion for the SABS R³ CDT.
