Non-Stipendiary Research Fellowships
Closing date: Monday 4 November 2024 at 12:00
Green Templeton is inviting applications for Non-Stipendiary Research Fellowships to start in Trinity Term 2025. The college welcomes applications from candidates who share its aim to understand and enhance human welfare, and whose research aligns with and strengthens our existing interests.
Research Fellows are elected by the college’s Governing Body for three years in the first instance. The fellowships are renewable. Affiliation as a Research Fellow provides an opportunity to become actively involved in the intellectual and social life of the college. Fellows will have full access to all college facilities, be entitled to full dining rights, and are eligible to apply to a college fund for academic activity. Fellows will serve as a college adviser for a small number of postgraduate students each year.
Within the college fellowship today, the primary academic areas of interest are health and medical sciences; business and management; and a broad range of social sciences, including education, environmental sciences, and social policy. The college welcomes applications from researchers working in any of these areas. It is particularly interested in applicants whose research will enrich existing academic projects or are working in the following fields: philanthropy; artificial intelligence and machine learning; sustainability; and medical/health humanities. Applications from academic clinicians will be warmly received.
Research Fellowships at Green Templeton are non-stipendiary. Applicants should hold a funded position in the University of Oxford, typically in a department or associated research unit, for the duration of their fellowship. Researchers in posts funded by research councils or foundations are eligible. Applicants must have completed a DPhil/PhD by the time they apply and be engaged in independent research of a high calibre at a level appropriate to their career stage. The college is especially keen to attract researchers who are at an early stage in their academic career.
Applications from members of all communities are welcomed. Green Templeton aims to provide equality of opportunity regardless of gender, ethnicity, colour, disability, religion, family responsibility, age, occupation, marital status, sexual orientation or trade union affiliation. In line with our college equality objectives, the college particularly welcomes applications from LGBTQ+ and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates, who currently are under-represented in the college fellowship.
