The following is a guide to the subjects accepted at Green Templeton College. You should check if your intended programme is accepted at GTC by referring to the Colleges tab on the relevant course page.


Current or former students of GTC who wish to progress onto a programme not normally accepted should contact Alison Franklin before submitting their application if they wish to continue their studies at GTC.

Medical Sciences Division

Clinical Medicine, including Graduate ‘Fast Track’ entry
Medical Sciences Doctoral Training Centre
Most areas of medical research and many of the related taught (MSc) programmes

GTC accepts students on programmes in the following areas:

Education, including the PGCE
Geography & the Environment
International Development
Oxford Internet Institute, including full- and part-time routes for the MSc in Social Science of the Internet
Politics & International Relations
Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government
Saïd Business School, including the MBA and Executive MBA, plus the 1+1 MBA programme with most participating MScs (read more about the 1+1 MBA programme)

Computer Science


Statistics, including the Statistical Science Centre for Doctoral Training (EPSRC and MRC)

Synthetic Biology (EPSRC and BBSRC Centre for Doctoral Training)

Humanities Division

Students on programmes in History of Science, Medicine & Technology only.

Department for Continuing Education

GTC does not normally accept students on programmes at the Department for Continuing Education. Students with a prior affiliation to GTC should contact April López in the first instance if they wish to study for a ContEd programme at GTC.
