Meera Selva appointed CEO of Internews Europe

Associate Fellow Meera Selva has been appointed the new CEO of Internews Europe, a global non-profit that supports journalists, media organisations and others to provide trustworthy and accurate information worldwide.

Meera is currently Director of the Journalism Fellowship Programme and Deputy Director at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. She will take up her new role in June.

Earlier this year Meera co-convened the Green Templeton Lectures 2022 on science and the media. This series featured Wolfgang Blau on ‘Climate change: journalism’s greatest challenge’, Barkha Dutt ‘On the road with the pandemic’ and Charles Godfray on ‘What does it mean to be an honest broker?’

Meera has been an Associate Fellow since 2021 and was previously a Common Room Member for four years.
