New fellows join college
Green Templeton is pleased to welcome new fellows at the start of the new academic year.
Professor Sir Jonathan Montgomery, Dr Agnieszka Kubal and Dr Robert Prey all join the college’s 300-strong fellowship.
Professor Sir Jonathan Montgomery has become a Governing Body Fellow and Barclay Fellow. He is Professor of Health Care Law at University College, London.
Sir Jonathan is currently chair at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, chair of Oxford Academic Health Partners, and chair of the Ethics Advisory Committee of Genomics England. He has chaired NHS organisations since 1998, including provider, system oversight and commissioning bodies.
Dr Agnieszka Kubal has joined as a Research Fellow. She is Associate Professor in Socio-Legal Studies (CSLS), Law Faculty, University of Oxford.
Agnieszka completed her DPhil at the University of Oxford in 2011. Following post-doctoral spells at International Migration Institute (Oxford), CSLS (Oxford) and Davis Centre for Russian and Eurasian Studies (Harvard), she was based at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) at UCL, where she held an Associate Professorship in Sociology.
Dr Robert Prey is now a Research Fellow. He is Associate Professor of Digital Culture at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford.
Dr Prey studies the relationship between technology, capitalism and culture. His research and writings have included work on the social and cultural implications of algorithmic recommendation systems and the interdependent processes of ‘datafication’ and ‘platformisation’. His current focus is the creative labour of musicians as they adapt to online platforms.
