Postgraduate Certificate in Education – Biology
I was born in Jersey in the Channel Islands, where I have lived most of my life. I have always had an enthusiasm for science and spent most of my early career in Health. I became a Lab technician at the local hospital within Virology and Microbiology, which then led to working as a science technician in a local secondary school.
I have been a school science technician for the last 6 years, which developed an unshakable ambition to follow a career in teaching and the stimulus towards completing my bachelor’s degree in Open Science which has only sharpened my enthusiasm.
I am so excited to have been accepted onto the Biology PGCE course at Oxford University. Oxford University was recently ranked first in the Times higher education world university ranking for the fifth consecutive year, and I am proud to be attending such a prestigious establishment. I hope to inspire students in science with my lessons, especially with how important science is currently with links to global situations we all find ourselves in.
Outside of my studies I have a wonderful family, partner and child and enjoy walks and socialising with friends. I am very happy to be able to join the Green Templeton community.
