I am doctoral student at the Department of Sociology and the Green Templeton College. Meanwhile, I also work as a pre-doctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR) in Rostock, Germany.
My research lies at the intersection of demography, sociology, public health, and gerontology. Specifically, I investigate inequalities within and between social groups in mortality, retirement, and pension in contemporary aging populations. My doctoral study is funded by the Department of Sociology and the Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science at Oxford as well as the European Research Council grant awarded to Dr. Alyson van Raalte at the MPIDR.
Prior to my doctoral study, I attended the European Doctoral School of Demography at the MPIDR and the University of Southern Denmark. I received an MPhil degree in Social Science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a BA in Journalism from Beijing Foreign Studies University.
