Richard Doll Society Lecture and Annual Dinner

Professor Gero Miesenboeck will be giving a talk before the Richard Doll Society Annual Dinner. Professor Miesenboeck is the Waynflete Professor of Physiology and founding Director of the Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour at the University of Oxford. His work includes the invention of the optogenetic techniques used for visualizing and controlling nerve cells with light, for which he has received numerous international prizes. He has also been a pioneer in the use of flies to study neural circuits and the question of why we sleep.

The talk will be followed by the final Richard Doll Society dinner of the calendar year, which is an opportunity to bid farewell to the current committee. For the first time, this talk and dinner are open to all college members. This is a black tie event with dinner costing £26 (wine £7 extra). RSVP as soon as possible to with details of any dietary requirements, whether you would like wine or not and if you have any seating plan requests.
