Professor Bleddyn Jones

Professor Bleddyn Jones is a Common Room Member at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford.

Bleddyn Jones, MD, ScD, FRCP, FRCR is Emeritus Professor of Clinical Radiation Biology. He has researched neutron, proton and ion beam radiotherapy and their associated radiobiology in order to improve patient outcomes.

With over 30 years experience as an NHS cancer specialist, he has made extensive clinical and scientific contributions to the quantitative understanding of radiotherapy dose rate effects, treatment interruptions (organising a national voluntary system during the COVID epidemic) and re-treatment in the central nervous system by using mathematical model guidance in these situations.
