David Metcalfe
David Metcalfe is a Research Fellow, Green Templeton College and the Kadoorie Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine, University of Oxford. He is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
He was formerly a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard Medical School and Clinical Lecturer in Emergency Medicine at the University of Oxford. He has been awarded the Robert Jones Gold Medal by the British Orthopaedic Association, the Syme Medal by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and was elected Hunterian Professor by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2020.
His research interests span musculoskeletal injury, clinical risk prediction, and randomised trials to improve the safety and effectiveness of emergency care.
