Professor Gary Ford

Professor Gary Ford is a Governing Body Fellow of Green Templeton College and Chair of the Risk and Scrutiny Committee. He is Professor of Stroke Medicine at the University of Oxford, CEO of the Oxford Academic Health Science Network, and Consultant Stroke Physician, OUH.

Research area:

The impact of ageing on drug responsiveness with a focus on acute stroke therapies; Gary has been involved in many service innovations in UK stroke care in the last 20 years. He developed the Face Arm Speech Test now used to increase public and professional awareness of stroke.
