Jonathan Ray
Jonathan Ray was an Associate Fellow, Green Templeton College, University of Oxford. He is Director of Communications for the fifteen National Parks of the United Kingdom (Lake District, Snowdonia, Cairngorms, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, Brecon Beacons, Northumberland, Dartmoor, South Downs, Exmoor, Norfolk Broads, Pembrokeshire Coast, Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District.) He leads public engagement on the role of protected national landscapes in support of health and wellbeing, education and learning, green economy and sustainability, diversity and inclusion.
He served previously as Head of Communications and Deputy Director of Public Affairs at the University of Oxford; Senior Advisor (Communications) in the Office of the Founding President of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST); and as a Vice President of Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) in Japan.
Jonathan read English Language and Literature at the University of Durham. He joined BBC Network News and Current Affairs as a Graduate News Trainee, and spent fifteen years in daily news broadcasting and factual programme making.
