Dr Meera Joshi

Meera Joshi Profile Pic Black And WhiteDr Meera Joshi BM BCh MA (Oxf) is an Associate Fellow, Green Templeton College, University of Oxford, a medical doctor, artist and psychological trauma specialist. Her passion is blending an evidence-based neuroscientific approach to healthcare and trauma with the deep wisdom of body-mind traditions. She uses her combined experience as a medical doctor, trauma specialist and teacher of somatic practices in her work.

She has worked for the last decade in the primary care sector in preventative medicine. Her approach to health is focused on the biological, psychological and social wellbeing of both the individual and societies. She has consistently developed her expertise through high-level leadership programmes including: Management in Medicine (Oxford University accredited by Faculty of Medical Management and Leadership 2023), Leading Excellence In Healthcare for Senior Management and Clinicians (Bupa UK 2019). She is currently specialising as a trauma psychotherapist with the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists.

The foundation of her work and philosophy comes from her many years of experience in global majority healing practices. She is a registered 200 hour yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance UK. She is also a trained mindfulness teacher and has been a mindfulness expert for Bupa UK since 2017. A proud alumna of Green Templeton College (Oxford University), Dr Joshi is honoured to contribute to teaching and community life at the university.
