Paul studied biological sciences at the University of Birmingham (1997 to 2001) before completing a DPhil in molecular medicine at then-Green College (2005). He later joined Oxford PharmaGenesis as a trainee Medical Writer. Growing with the company and building strong client relationships, he now co-leads the company’s operations in the Europe region. He has served on the educational programme committee for the European meetings of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals and for over a decade has taught publication ethics to postgraduate students on the MSc Experimental and Translational Therapeutics course at the University of Oxford.

He also co-founded the Open Pharma initiative, which brings together top pharma companies, publishers, patients, regulators, non-pharma funders and academic societies to learn from the open science movement and drive positive change in how pharma-sponsored research is communicated.
