Dr Philip Wilkinson
Philip Wilkinson is an Associate Fellow of Green Templeton College and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Psychiatry at the University of Oxford. He is a consultant old age psychiatrist with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.
His clinical and research interests lie in the management of late-life depression and psychological treatments with older people. He collaborates in the running of large-scale pragmatic psychological treatment studies and was a member of the NICE Depression in Adults Guideline development committee (2022 update).
Philip teaches medical students at the University of Oxford and is a College Adviser at Green Templeton College. He also has 25 years’ experience as a postgraduate trainer. As a trained teacher of English to speakers of other languages he enjoys teaching medical English to refugee doctors.
Outside of medicine, he plays the viola da gamba and has enjoyed participating in GTC Performs at Green Templeton.
