Richard is currently Chief Operating Officer and co-owner of Oxford PharmaGenesis, a global HealthScience communications consultancy that helps its clients in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, patient groups and academia to communicate medical evidence effectively.

Having joined the company in 2002 when it was ten people, Richard co-led a management buy-out of the founder in 2013 and has helped oversee the company’s growth to more than 500 people worldwide. He founded the company’s value demonstration practice and is a recognised leader in the communication of health economic and real-world evidence studies.

Prior to joining Oxford PharmaGenesis, Richard was an academic researcher in cardiovascular pharmacology at the University of Cambridge. He won the British Pharmacological Society AJ Clark Studentship for his PhD studies and was elected a Junior Research Fellow at Sidney Sussex College.

During this period he was President of Cambridge University Volleyball Club, and coached the Men’s Blues to their first-ever (and so far, only) wins at the National University Championships and Student Cup.
