Dr Shobhana Nagraj
Dr Shobhana (Shobi) Nagraj is an Associate Fellow, Green Templeton College and a Clinical Researcher in the Health Systems Collaborative group, Centre for Global Health Research, Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford.
Shobi works in the field of implementation science within global surgery and global health, with a focus on maternal child health. She embeds theory into the design of innovations to promote their uptake by end-users and their future sustainability within the health system. Her DPhil involved the theory-informed design and evaluation of a complex intervention including mobile clinical decision support for Community Health Workers to screen, refer and counsel pregnant women at high risk of future cardiometabolic disorders in rural India.
Shobi is a course director for the Oxford University Global Surgery course and works with local organisations in Oxfordshire to reduce health inequalities and improve childhood nutrition.
