Professor Terence Ryan

Terence RyanProfessor Terence Ryan is an Emeritus Fellow of Green Templeton College and Emeritus Professor of Dermatology, University of Oxford.

Terence is a former Vice Warden of then-Green College and served as Oxford’s Consultant Dermatologist from 1971 to 1996. His areas of expertise include wound healing, and he has trained numerous professionals, including nine heads of some of the largest hospitals in China.

Terence has played a significant role in advancing international dermatology across five continents. He co-mentored a programme in India that has been recognised by the World Health Organization as a leading initiative in integrated medicine, receiving substantial support from the Gates Foundation.

In 2002, he succeeded Lord Walton as Head of the Friends of 13 Norham Gardens, working alongside Professor David Cranston.

Humane education in Asia is a current main interest for Terence as a trustee of ACTAsia.
