Alumni Profile: Paul Vorbach

I completed the Oxford Advanced Management Programme in the winter of 2000 while residing at Templeton College, an experience that significantly influenced my professional outlook. Today, I’m pleased to serve as Chair of the recently established Green Templeton College Oceania Alumni Association, where we aim to strengthen connections among alumni across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.
In 2004, I established AcademyGlobal (AG), a professional and executive education firm where I work with clients on capability development across public sector governance, finance, procurement, and risk management. My approach combines practical insights with academic frameworks, something I’ve found resonates well with both government and corporate clients.
Before founding AG, I worked in executive roles at Deloitte and Citigroup, experiences that gave me a firsthand understanding of the challenges facing organizations in rapidly changing environments. This practical background informs my educational work and helps me connect theory with real-world application.
I currently serve as Board Director and NSW Councillor for the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Chair the New South Wales Chapter of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management. Working with the Commonwealth Government supported Australasian Procurement and Construction Council has given me the opportunity to help shape procurement practice across the Australia public sector.
My educational background includes degrees from the University of Sydney (Commerce), UNSW (Law), and UTS (MBA), along with professional qualifications in corporate governance. Iβm currently an adjunct at the Australian Graduate School of Management (UNSW) and previously, Honorary Professor at the University of Technology Sydney.
Over the years, my work has taken me to 20 countries across five continents, providing valuable global perspectives that I bring to both my business and alumni activities. The Oxford experience continues to influence my approach to leadership and education, and I’m grateful for the ongoing connection to the College’s community of thoughtful practitioners and academics.
