Flourishing in stressful environments

How to help yourself and others

Saturday 6 December 2025   10:00 to 15:00

Speakers:

Professor Sarah Stewart-Brown

The most valuable insights were the frameworks to think about wellbeing and recognise which stage I am at. Identifying the issue makes the next step of solving it way easier.

Very well organised and provided valuable tools to improve my wellbeing. — Green Templeton students on the 2024 workshop

This workshop was developed by academic Sarah Stewart-Brown to help health professionals thrive in the taxing environment of the NHS, but it has proven popular among people from many walks of life especially students and academics — it’s not just for medics! It’s for anyone who wants to enhance their wellbeing.

The day-long in-person session will help you develop a deeper understanding of personal wellbeing, what determines it, and how it can be enhanced. It offers:

  • new insights into resilience and wellbeing;
  • a moment to take stock of your situation, decide what can be changed and what can’t, and how to go about making those changes;
  • approaches and practices that are effective, transportable, and easy to adopt;
  • ideas to help you support others, whether peers or patients.
