About the speaker

Karl Marlowe Profile PicDr Karl Marlowe has been Chief Medical Officer at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust since 2021. He has over two decades of clinical and executive experience across mental health, community health care, and integrated health systems.

Prior to joining Oxford Health, Dr Marlowe was Chief Medical Officer at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, where he led clinical services across Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Under his leadership, the Trust underwent a significant cultural transformation, improving its Care Quality Commission rating and removing national undertakings. He was a health commissioner at Barnet CCG up to 2017. His leadership style is grounded in quality improvement, value-based commissioning, and population health. Dr Marlowe is a passionate advocate for climate-conscious healthcare, digital innovation, and the integration of academic research into clinical practice.
