This term’s theme is ‘ageing’.
The Inner Light (2019. Directed by Stefan Sick) offers a poetic exploration of dementia. Using an observational approach, the film explores the everyday lives of people living.
30 minutes viewing followed by discussion.
The GTC Medical Anthropology Film and Discussion Group explores the extent to which film can complement, enrich and further the study of medical anthropology themes, topics and methods.
After watching selected clips, the group discuss a filmβs content and approach, and interrogate its capacity to support the analysis of issues relating to illness, crisis, health and wellbeing.
