Elizabeth Padmore becomes British Red Cross Board of Trustees Chair

Governing Body Fellow Elizabeth Padmore took up the role of chair of the Board of Trustees of the British Red Cross at the start of January 2022.

Liz has been a Barclay Fellow on Governing Body since 2012 and is currently the chair of the college’s Remuneration Committee.

Liz is also chair of Housing Solutions, Chair of the Staff College: Leadership in Healthcare, on the Council of Management of the Ditchley Foundation and a former chair of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Trust. She was awarded the Sunday Times public sector Non-Executive Director of the Year Award in 2013.

Liz was previously a strategy partner at Accenture where she created and ran their global strategic think tank. She specialised in scenario planning, strategic communications, corporate social responsibility and relationship management.
