Green Templeton in Asia
Principal Sir Michael Dixon and Director of Development and Alumni Relations Ceri Butcher travelled to Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo in May.
They met with more than 100 alumni and friends of the college on a trip that also included a visit to Green Templeton’s Japanese partners at Kawasaki Gakuen in Okayama.
The visits were the first since the COVID-19 pandemic and were an excellent opportunity to reengage with the wider college community. Mike and Ceri marked the 40th anniversary of Templeton College and spoke about the plans for the college and his vision for the future with each of those they met.

On his return, Sir Michael Dixon said,
‘I was delighted to meet so many enthusiastic alumni of the college in what was a whistle-stop tour of major cities in Asia.
‘The affection for the college which former students maintain was tangible and very evident as was interest in our future plans for the college. I am sure that Green Templeton alumni groups will thrive in the cities we visited and links to Oxford will remain strong and relevant.’
