Research Fellow Dr Abrar Chaudhury recognised by British Academy

Dr Abrar Chaudhury, Research Fellow (c) Abrar ChaudhuryGreen Templeton Research Fellow Dr Abrar Chaudhury has been awarded a prestigious British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship.

The three-year Fellowship is awarded to outstanding early career academics to support their research and teaching within a university environment.

Dr Chaudhury said the Fellowship will enable him to stay focused on his core discipline of climate change.

He will investigate the ways in which dedicated climate funding and intermediaries, such as the Green Climate Fund, and emerging technologies, such as AI and blockchain, shape implementation and diffusion of climate action in emerging economies.

Dr Chaudhury is a Research Fellow at Saïd Business School, working on the EY Beacon Institute and Saïd Business School collaborative project on the ‘purpose’ of business.

The Postdoctoral Fellowship is the Academy’s flagship programme.
