Student exchange with Cambridge sister college

The GCR welcomed students from Green Templeton’s sister college at Cambridge, St Edmund’s, for a full day and night of festivities on Saturday 4 May.

Activities included a city and college tour, friendly speed dating, formal dinner and a bar night with live music.

The day was the second leg of the 2024 exchange following a fabulous trip of a coach full of student visiting Cambridge on Saturday 9 March.

GCR President Alexander Hasson (DPhil Oncology, 2022) said of the exchange,

‘It was excellent to reignite the relationship between St Edmund’s and Green Templeton this past academic year. First, in March when we explored Cambridge under their hospitality, and now this past weekend we have been able to return the favour.

‘The exchange was an invaluable social and networking event, in addition to the wonderful tours put on by GTC students, and the excellent catering provided by our staff. I look forward to the next exchange in the new academic year.’

This regular initiative was again generously supported by an individual donor to college.
