Professor Sue Dopson named Academy of Social Sciences Fellow

Green Templeton College Governing Body Fellow Professor Sue Dopson has been named a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences.

Sue is Professor of Organisational Behaviour, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Two of her key research areas are knowledge transfer in healthcare management and the changing role of healthcare support workers. She has led a number of research projects that have informed and influenced government bodies.

Sue received her FAcSS certificate from President of the Academy, Professor Sir Ivor Crewe FAcSS, at the President’s Lunch on 18 December.

Sue was recognised by the Academy after an extensive peer review process, which looked at the impact and excellence of her work and its public benefit.

The Academy announced in October it had conferred the award of Fellow on 43 leading social scientists, and the certificates were presented to the new Fellows by Professor Sir Ivor Crewe at a luncheon held at University College, University of Oxford, where he is The Master.

Alan Rusbridger, Principal of Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford, former Chairman of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, and former editor-in-chief of The Guardian, was the guest speaker.

Sue Dopson is a Governing Body Fellow and member of the Human Resources Committee at Green Templeton College; Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford; Academic Director of the Oxford Diploma in Organisational Leadership; and Visiting Professor at the University of Alberta, Canada.
