The Coaching Programme

Every Green Templeton student should use this coaching to get the most out of their postgraduate studies. I consider it a great privilege to have had access to this!

Taking time to reflect can be a process that is difficult to prioritize at a place like Oxford, with all that is going on. The Atlas coaching sessions are priceless in that they help you stay accountable to yourself, helping you take the time out to reflect. I was amazed by the progress I was able to make on my coaching sessions in that hour thanks to my coach’s thoughtful questions and guidance. This was the most helpful activity I did at Oxford in regards to career planning.

The unique Green Templeton Coaching Programme has run annually since 2010. The programme matches each participating student to a professional coach, who will meet them for confidential guided conversations around 3-5 times over one academic year. These aim to help the student be better able to do what they want to do: improve skills and capabilities, make the best of themselves and their opportunities, explore questions, issues or challenges, or consider new action plans or approaches. The coach encourages reflection, enables insights, and suggests possibilities.

Coaching can be in-person, hybrid, or online, and is organized to fit the schedule of both parties – making it ideal for busy students with multiple commitments, distance learners and part-time students.

In 2024-25, 92% of people who participated in the Coaching Programme said that they would recommend it to others.
