College welcome events

We organise orientation and welcome events in college for all new students, including online for distance learning and part-time students and some earlier events for students on September course start dates. We will send reminders and notifications of event updates throughout the summer through our Offer Holder email newsletters. Please see below for dates that have been confirmed so far. Your department will be in touch separately with their timetable of orientation events. Please refer to your course start date in the first offer letter provided by your department administrator for travel purposes; this is the date by which you are required to be in Oxford if you are a full-time student.

College Academic Office induction

This is a presentation from Green Templeton’s Senior Tutor, Dr Alison Stenton and members of the college’s Academic Office team with comprehensive information about Academic, Welfare and Financial support at the college. Attending a college induction is mandatory and we will run the same event several times for time and space purposes inviting you to the one closest to your programme start date and with your programme cohort.

In-person registration dates and times

We are offering in-person drop-ins in the Exam Room (ground floor, adjacent to Lodge) for new students who want to meet the college office team, ask any arrival/registration queries and get orientation information and advice soon after you arrive in Oxford. We are always happy to say hello and meet you in person after many months of email and Teams correspondence! We have offered times when the majority of students will start arriving in Oxford and to tie in with other college events but we can also offer Teams or in person appointments during office hours on request – contact welcome@gtc.ox.ac.uk
