I decided to pursue a MPP at Blavatnik School of Government after working as Senior Political Editor in W Radio, one of Colombia’s most influential news radio station.

For five years, amidst unprecedented polarization, I interviewed two sitting presidents, six former presidents, five former vice-presidents, and over 100 lawmakers. I discovered the importance of unlikely coalitions and, while informing over one million daily listeners, contributed to Colombia’s collective memory.

The complexity of Colombia’s challenges requires me to gain robust academic bases. I am convinced that Oxford’s MPP will give me the tools needed to provide evidence-based analyses to audiences.

Journalists can no longer afford to simply divulge information. Humanity’s future depends on individuals’ abilities to make sound and informed decisions. Specialized reporters and editors are imperative to this end.
