Hi everyone, my name is Sophie and I am so excited to pursue my MSc in Migration Studies. I studied political science as an undergraduate at Sarah Lawrence College in New York where my research focused on the policy-related struggles of women migrants. At Oxford, I hope to expand my research to include the impacts of NGO outreach on the migration journeys of women travelling between Central America and Mexico.

Outside of the classroom I love to spend time outdoors, go on runs and travel. I am also an avid writer with a special interest in short fiction. I hope to become involved with university publications and would love to try something new by joining the GTC Boat Club. Please feel free to reach out!
