Dr Christiaan de Koning
Dr Christiaan de Koning is an Associate Fellow at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford. Fascinated by how science and technology shape society, he supports science entrepreneurs and advises institutions on commercialising research for impact. He has built accelerator programmes, chairs the Founders & Funders Foundation, teaches at Saïd Business School, and is a strategic advisor to CIMMYT.
Previously, he worked with investors, policymakers, and institutions including Oxford, J.P. Morgan, the World Economic Forum, Wageningen University, the EU Commission for Innovation, and the UK House of Lords. He earned a DPhil from Oxford in management research, focusing on the commercialisation of CRISPR biotechnology through new ventures.
Christiaan is engaged with the Oxford Health Innovation Forum, a new university-wide initiative that builds on Green Templeton’s strong legacy in medicine, medical sciences, business, and management. The forum serves as a platform through which the college fosters entrepreneurship and drives dialogue on innovation in medical research, healthcare delivery, and global health.
