Irene Mathias

Irene Mathias is a Teaching Associate at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford, and an Internal Medicine Trainee in Thames Valley Deanery.
Irene graduated with a first-class degree in Pre-clinical Medicine from Christ Church, Oxford University where she was a Christ Church Prize Scholar. She graduated from Green Templeton with a distinction in Clinical Medicine. During her time in GTC, she was the Welfare and Events Representative for the Richard Doll Medical Society.
Irene’s work includes a publication regarding the implementation of virtual Emergency Department triage tools in Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto and a textbook chapter on ‘Complications of Cancer’ for Acute Medicine: A Practical Guide to the Management of Medical Emergencies. She has given national conference presentations on improving resident doctor wellbeing through clinical debriefs, the incidence of pneumonitis in Trastuzumab-deruxtecan, and on motor neurone disease diagnosis.
