Dr Laurence Leaver
Dr Laurence Leaver is a Governing Body Fellow and a member of Fellowship Committee at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford.
From 2004 to 2022 he was Senior Doll Fellow and Chair of the Medical Teaching Committee: he developed and ran the Green Templeton teaching programme for medics, winning some teaching awards along the way, including a lifetime achievement award in 2023.
He is Senior Partner (GP) at Dr Leaver & Partners, Jericho Health Centre. Laurence studied at Green (BM 1991), got married in the college in 1994, returning to Oxford in 1996 as a GP. He has come a long way since 1988 – about 400m!
Laurence practices as an NHS GP but has been involved in occasional projects leading to about 25 publications relevant to mental health and general medicine in primary care, and medical education.
