Speaker Profile: Tracey Webster OAM

Tracey WebsterWith more than 30 years of experience as a nurse, senior manager, and leader in health services, Tracey Webster has dedicated her career to advancing high-quality, patient-centred care in both the United Kingdom and Victoria, Australia. Her contributions span community health, rural and metropolitan hospitals, virtual care, clinical governance and nurse education—making her a respected leader in contemporary healthcare.

Tracey has held senior leadership roles across a broad spectrum of healthcare environments, always with a focus on improving access, outcomes, and experiences for patients. Her early work in community services and acute care settings established a strong foundation for her later innovations in virtual care and system-wide transformation.

For the past decade, Tracey has been at the forefront of virtual healthcare—leading the development of new models of care that use technology to reach patients wherever they are. Her work has improved care accessibility and quality, especially for vulnerable populations and those in rural areas. Tracey has also led numerous projects centred on value-based healthcare, ensuring that health services deliver outcomes that truly matter to patients.

Currently, Tracey serves as the Director of the Clinical Leadership Effectiveness and Outcomes (CLEO) Team at Northern Health, under the leadership of Dr Katharine See. In this role, she leads a high-performing team focused on transforming health systems through the implementation of value-based healthcare and the integration of appropriate digital technologies. The CLEO team is committed to delivering care that is meaningful, efficient, and outcome-focused—supporting a vision for a healthier, more responsive future in public health.

In 2024, Tracey was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in recognition of her outstanding service to nursing and the community. This national honour acknowledges her long-standing commitment to innovation, leadership, and compassionate care.
