About the event
This session will cover the main ethical considerations that arise when using artificial intelligence in clinical practice. It will also cover the importance of designing the role that AI should play in healthcare.
About the speaker
Dr Jessica Morley is Associate Research Scientist at the Yale Digital Ethics Center. Her research focuses on ensuring the way in which AI is used in healthcare is not only technically feasible, but also socially acceptable, ethically justifiable, and legally compliant. Prior to working at Yale, Jess was the Director of Policy at the Bennett Institute for Applied Data Science, University of Oxford and the AI subject matter expert for NHSX. Jess holds a BA, MSc, and PhD from the University of Oxford and maintains her connections with England by being a panel member of the National Data Guardian and an associate editor for the BMJ Digital Health and AI.

About the Management in Medicine Programme
The Management in Medicine Programme was developed to foster management and leadership skills for health and care systems in early-career professionals. Attendance is open to medical students, doctors in training, postgraduate students and others with an interest in the interaction between healthcare professionals, systems and management.
