A virtual screening of the 2020 documentary Trust Me I’m Sick, followed by a question and answer session with its director Sarah Stewart. The film explores the lives of five individuals in Los Angeles, California, who share stories about how lupus, HIV and other chronic health conditions shape their relationships, careers and expectations for the future.

After a brief introduction of the film, a link will be provided for everyone to watch the segment/s online (up to 40 minutes) and after the viewing participants will regroup for a discussion and question and answer session.

The Green Templeton College Medical Anthropology and Film Discussion Group has chosen the theme of ‘invisible suffering’ brought by chronic illness and trauma for its Michaelmas series of meetings.
