Legacy Society Afternoon Tea
Thursday 23 April 2026 15:00 to 18:00Location: |
Observatory Common Room, Green Templeton College |
An invitation-only event celebrating the generosity and long-term vision of our legacy supporters, marking the launch of the Pirie Society, Green Templeton College’s legacy society.
Named in honour of the remarkable contribution of serving Head Gardener Michael Pirie, the legacy society recognises those who have already included the college in their wills, as well as those considering doing so. Pirie Society reflects a shared commitment to supporting students, the college community and Green Templeton’s long-term priorities.
Programme highlights
Guests will be welcomed on the south side of the Observatory, within the newly completed landscaped grounds, with champagne and light refreshments. Michael Pirie will then lead a guided walk through the Observatory and gardens.
This will be followed by an outline of future developments designed to enhance access and sustainability across the estate.
A panel discussion in the Common Room will explore the college’s present and future priorities. The discussion will include an address from Principal Sir Michael Dixon, reflections from senior leadership and an opportunity for questions from supporters.
The afternoon will conclude with a seated afternoon tea in the Observatory.
