Angela Saini will discuss the ways in which racism pervades science and academia, the roots of this problem, and what universities can do better to address it.

Angela Saini PhotoAngela Saini is an award-winning science journalist, broadcaster and author. She holds master’s degrees in Engineering from The University of Oxford, and in Science and Security from King’s College London. She presents radio and television programmes for the BBC, and her writing has appeared across the world, including in New Scientist, Prospect, The Sunday Times, Wired, and National Geographic. Her latest book “Superior: The Return of Race Science” received huge critical acclaim around the world for its exploration of the murky history of race science, and the ways in which it is being resurrected in the 21st century.
